[Preview] UnWholly by Neal Shusterman

June 13, 2012

UnWholly

Shusterman, Neal.  UnWholly.  416pp.  Simon & Schuster, August 28, 2012.  9781442423664.  OMGoodness! Neal Shusterman’s sequel to Unwind is due in August…and it can’t get here fast enough!  In my honorable opionion, Unwind is one  the best books ever written for the genre.  I haven’t read the advance copy…I haven’t seen any summaries or reviews.  I simply ran across this cover shot while surfing goodreads.  I do know from logical deduction that the story takes place after the action in the original “Unwind”, but how long after the first book’s answer is a guess.  I’m sure there’s a huge clue to the plot in the book title “UnWholly” which is opposite of Holy, a play on the type of events from  “Unwind”…or better yet, it could be a play on the word holy or whole, which means all things good or complete…in that case unholy would mean all things bad or incomplete, which makes sense because to have been unwound, something was done to you against the laws of humanity and you are not a whole person anymore.  Whatever the situation, I will definitely include this title in my school library.
